Get Ready For The Solar Laser System.

It’s a computer guided/managed dish type mirrored parabolic solar energy collector of direct heat.  It heats Homes, Pools, Spas, Domestic Water, Green Houses, and other Industrial Applications.

Unlike conventional roof mounted fixed solar collectors, the Solar Laser System sits on a steel pole anywhere it can see and follow the sun all day.

This eliminates many problems associated with roof-mounted collectors, as well as roof mounting hardware and stands. Impervious to ordinary hail, the Solar Laser System has never been destroyed by wind. The Dish system is over designed and built for strong winds as well as longevity.

The Solar Laser System is a lightweight fiberglass concave reflective lens. The mirrored lens reflects all the sun light back to a focal point in front of the lens. A small, insulated copper heat-receiver is mounted in the focal point. A small pump controlled by the tracking computer circulates water or fluid through the heat receiver that heats the water with focused solar energy. Heat transfer ratios are extremely high since the energy is intense in the focal point. This leads to very high efficiency of operation, and much cheaper energy.

Solar Laser Systems are produced in kits called DISH KITS which include the computer, dish, flex lines, heat-receiver, mounting yoke, drive gear motors, pole mounted computer and battery rack, and short mast, ready to assemble and track the sun, and with comprehensive illustrated manual and illustrations. .  The Dish Kits are produced in three sizes: 44", 8 feet, and 14 feet diameter dishes that peak at 100, 500, and 1500 gallons hot water per day respectively. That is water heated from 80 to 120 degrees F. These Dishes can work in cold weather and can dump snow.

At lower operating temperatures such as pool heating, the dishes can peak at over twice that amount of energy. The Solar Laser System does not require the high wattage pool filter pump to be running, but controls and runs it’s own low power pump.

Tracking the sun throughout the day leads to a lot more collection time compared to fixed collectors that can see the sun only about six hours per day. Tracking, coupled with light weight dishes, and very small copper receivers, means a lot of energy with less equipment, and a greater btu/$ solar investment for the consumer.

As solar systems go, the Solar Laser System kits are easier to install and are being assembled by novices as well as pros in many US states and Europe.

Designed to be completely automatic, the Tracking Computer/management system tracks the dish, and monitors storage tank or pool temperatures, water or fluid flow pump and battery charge source power such as 120 AC or low voltage DC from a photovoltaic collector. The computer and tracking motors run on any specified power from 12 DC to 220 AC and draw only milli-amps, largely insignificant. The pump requires about 100 watts for an 8-foot dish.

High-energy dishes such as the 8-foot dish make a lot of hot water, and require large size hot water storage tanks. The company Acro Solar Lasers has developed storage tanks that are large enough to accommodate the dishes.

The insulated storage tanks are spherical in shape; come in all colors, and need no indoor storage space or concrete footing. These storage tanks called Smart Tanks contain heat exchangers, and temperature sensors that are monitored by the computer.

Home or space heating is accomplished by the use of radiators or a radiator with fan. A thermostat is used to control the fan and a circulator pump that circulates water from the storage tank through the radiator. Homes or buildings that have central heat are heated by installing a radiator in the return air duct of the central heater. An extra thermostat called SOLAR is installed near the existing one. The SOLAR thermostat will heat through the ducts with the pump, radiator, and fan in the central furnace with out gas or electric heat. The existing gas, electric, or oil central furnace is not disabled in any way but remains as automatic back up heat. The system can also work well with a heat pump, and with radial, or heating flooring.

Domestic hot water is supplied to the existing water heater by the heat exchanger in the Smart Tank. This does not disable the existing water heater but causes less or little demand for the heater.

The smaller 44" dish is recommended for spas and domestic hot water. The small dish can heat water in a storage tank, or heat water in the existing water heater without and extra storage tank.

The company has been in business since 1978, but solar customers and dealers worldwide are just recently noticing the Solar Laser System. The company hopes to be instrumental in solving the current energy crisis as well as preventing great quantities of hydrocarbon pollution, while offering a very viable low cost alternative solar system to the consumer. The company believes the Solar Laser System to be the best Btu/$ value in the solar industry by a wide margin.
