Our personal survival prep's
One thing I've learned in my 38 years, is that life is uncertain. Security ob job, health, peace, and home does not exist. You can prepare for life's hiccups, or you can be controlled by them. I choose to prepare for the ones that I believe are probable. The ones I've seen first hand: Weather, Economic, Health, War, those are the ones that come to mind, because I've experienced them first hand, with varying amounts of preparedness. So I endeavor to share some of these experiences with you, and how to insulate yourself from some of the effects. That which you live through makes you stronger.
Health
Two things are certain in this world, death and taxes. Around the home there are many chances of accidents happing that can cause you to stop breathing, loose blood, poison your system, and cause you to go into shock. Ways to recover from these accidents (preventing them is a different story) are covered in a good first aid program. Get a good First aid book, collect appropriate first aid supplies, and practice applying these methods. Ask your local Red Cross or Volunteer Rescue Squad where to learn first aid. One of the best books I have in my library is 21st Century U.S. Army First Aid for Soldiers

Attacks
It seems certain these days, after the multiple attacks in NYC, (1993 and 2001), Oklahoma City, and expected terrorist reprisals for the war in the Middle East, that preparing for personal safety in this regard is prudent. I recently read a book that was very helpful in our families preparedness sessions. Appropriately titled "How I Prepared My Family to Survive a Terrorist Attack",
it goes into great detail how to prepare in place, or get to your survival location.
Economic
