Platform for the implementation of anaerobic digestion of organic industrial waste[1] in Flanders-Belgium.

 

Summary of Project HOBU/0036

 

 

Aim:

 

To establish a platform with following tasks:

  1. to eliminate the existing obstacles for the use and export for the end-product of anaerobic digesters for organic industrial waste.  These obstacles are of a legislative, logistic, hygienic and mechanic sort.
  2. to set up a knowledge centre with relation to anaerobic processes, technical information, relevant regulations to support industry as well as government
  3. to start a anaerobic digestion laboratory which can carry out pre-treatment tests, digestion tests, sludge analyses and gas analyses
  4. to stimulate the implementation of anaerobic digestion in various sectors
  5. to set up a information centre, to create a informative web-site and to organise symposia or workshops

 

 

Two people are going to work on this project, for two years.  The project will be managed by Eng. Wouter Platteau of the consultant office Studiebureel “flos campi.  They will also be supported by a team of other specialists from the industry, governmental organisations farmers and scientists which will be united in a team.  The establishment of this various team  enables an optimal communication between these involved parties.
