Instructions

Wind Speed:
Check with your local airport or weather station to find the average wind speeds for your area. Ours are typically 12-15 mph.

Blade Length:
Blade length is also the radius, or ½ of the diameter of the swept area

Air Density:
Air density changes with altitude, and air temperature. Cooler air, or air at lower altitudes, produces more power.

Coefficient of Power (Cp):
The efficiency of a turbine at converting available wind into electricity. 35% is the max after taking into consideration Betz, bearing friction, and alternator inefficiencies. We use 25% for our Axial Flux.
